Wild Alaska Black Cod Tips (1 lb Bag)
We’re excited to offer a limited inventory of this premium wild delicacy from the cold, pristine waters of Southeast Alaska. This 1 lb bag is also an excellent lower-commitment way to experience Black Cod for the first time - perfect for those curious about this prized fish without committing to a larger share.
Black Cod Tips, also known as collar meat, are one of the most flavorful and tender cuts of Black Cod. Cut from the richly marbled collar section, these small pieces are exceptionally buttery, ultra-tender, and packed with healthy omega-3s.
Known for their luxurious texture and high natural oil content, Black Cod Tips are ideal for high-heat cooking methods like grilling, broiling, or cast-iron searing. Their richness allows them to caramelize beautifully while remaining moist and forgiving, making them difficult to overcook.
For best results, marinate tips for 1–4 hours in savory glazes like miso, soy sauce, ginger, or soyaki, then grill, broil, or sear for a crisp exterior and tender interior. These richly flavorful bites are excellent served over sticky rice, tucked into tacos, added to grain bowls, or paired with bright, acidic sides like citrus or pickled ginger.
Wild and sustainably harvested with exceptional care in Southeast Alaska, each fish is professionally processed, with collar meat carefully portioned into approximately 1 oz pieces, vacuum sealed, and flash frozen to preserve peak freshness, flavor, and texture.
When properly frozen, Black Cod Tips maintain premium quality for up to two years.
